Simon Everitt

Simon is a well-respected Senior Healthcare Leader with broad-based expertise in the healthcare industry for the past 30 years. He brings extensive health leadership and management experience of large complex organisations with particular expertise in developing and delivering integrated models of care across the whole of health system.

He is known as an implementer and for working through complex commissioning issues and problem solving to achieve improved population outcomes. He is a positive and engaging leader with effective people skills, an open communication style and is known for his ability to build effective and lasting relationships.

He has fulfilled a range of roles including 10 years as a practicing Occupational Therapist (NZ and in the United States), four years working for central government at the Ministry of Health, General Management and Director roles in District Health Boards and an extended period as the Interim Chief Executive of the Bay of Plenty DHB.

Most recently Simon was engaged by Manatū Hauora Ministry of Health as Interim Director Public Health Agency for 11 months to set up and establish the Agency in the Ministry of Health.

Dr Luke Bradford

Luke is a proven leader in the New Zealand Health Service at primary and secondary care levels both locally and nationally. Luke holds a clear values-based vision of an equitable, patient centred healthcare system delivered in an adaptable fashion by an integrated and collaborative team.

Luke has experience in both governance and executive leadership at a Primary Health Organisation (PHO) level, as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Bay of Plenty DHB (now Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty) and nationally as Medical Direcotr of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practice as well as various sector leadership groups.

Luke values partnership with Iwi and has developed a strong and trusted relationship with mana whenua.

Dorothy Clendon

Dorothy has over 25 years of health experience in New Zealand at the UK across a variety of roles that span the system – as a physiotherapist, service manager, commissioner, strategy and policy developer, implementer and a change manager.

Dorothy is passionate about improving health outcomes and how people experience health services. As an Allied Health trained clinician, she is always looking for another way to do things, is practical and pragmatic, and focuses on actions that will really make a difference.

Leigh Haldane

Leigh has 17 years’ experience within healthcare both in New Zealand and Australia. Leigh holds a current Physiotherapy Annual Practicing Certificate and has worked within various healthcare settings including clinical (acute and community), health management, strategic leadership, research, commissioning and innovation and improvement.

Leigh is known for her ability to work collaboratively as well as her ability to find outcome focused solutions that meet the needs of the community. She has skills and expertise in project management, co-design, model of care development as well as public health with specific clinical knowledge around long term conditions.

Leigh is a strategic thinker and is relationship focused taking a collaborative approach to her mahi which delivers positive results. She is committed to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is driven by a passion for achieving equitable outcomes for communities and priority populations.

Amy Stewart

PROJECT COORDINATOR

Amy is our powerhouse in ‘getting stuff done!’.

Amy joined the StayWell team joining us in early 2022 in a Project Coordination role. Amy has become an integral part of the StayWell ‘way of operating’ helping the team to stay organised and on task when working with our clients. She has assisted StayWell with our organising systems, enhancing how we manage and report on key activity and deliverables while bringing new online tools and ways of working to help us improve our delivery of services to our clients.

Amy has acquired skills and competency in organisational management including policies and procedures, workflows, budgeting, financial management and a detailed eye for drafting, formatting and distributing complex reports. Amy also possesses strong technical skills which flow through to virtual hosting platforms, website management, survey development, Microsoft Office, Accounting platforms and online marketing tools.

Amy completed her Legal Executive Diploma in Waikato Polytechnic in 2021 and with extensive practical experience, Amy is known for her attention to detail, positivity, and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.

Georgina Allan

PROJECT COORDINATOR

With a degree in Health Sciences, majoring in Public Health, Georgina is excited to work in a space which benefits the well-being of New Zealanders. Georgina is competent with Microsoft Office and has had experience with the roll-out and facilitation of national education programmes with young people and the coordination of projects with multiple workstreams and complexities.

Kathy Everitt

Kathy provides support to the StayWell business and its operations. She has worked in the healthcare sector for over 25 years in both non-clinical and clinical roles as a Registered Physiotherapist in NZ and the USA with a particular interest in digital enablement.

Business Advisor

Sarah Stevenson

Need someone who is innovative, creative, tech savvy and strives for excellence in getting the job done?

Sarah has in depth experience in health service design, commissioning and service improvement and having worked in a variety of healthcare systems and settings both here and in Australia and the United Kingdom over the past 17 years. Sarah has a strong commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and acting as a Crown Partner.

She is known for her in depth knowledge of service commissioning and in finding innovation and creative solutions for her clients. She uses a wide range of tools to complete her work and is a strong advocate of co-design principles to connect and learn with people as part of designing health services.

Sarah has worked as Public Health Nutritionist for 5 years overseeing population health programmes that aimed at improving access to healthy food and behaviour change. Sarah brings a strong background in population health with specific service knowledge in sexual and reproductive health, immunisation, tobacco control, screening services, primary maternity and women’s health.

Since onboarding with StayWell in 2021, Sarah has been involved in service reviews, in depth needs analysis for specific populations, strategy and model of care development.
